It mentions that a farmer dropped her and her brother off when he left off some farm animals he was leaving. It's an animal rescue group. I contacted the group via email last night. Would I have to worry about a Sheepie that has only been with livestock? Take a peak at the pet finder post if any one gets a chance. Thanks Lisa and Frankie |

Ok
It was really late last night when I was reading the post on petfinder I had the story mixed up alittle. The guy that turned them in was given the dogs at a livestock auction. I was hoping to have heard from them overnight. Darn. I will probably contact them today. Battlecreek is only and hour away from me. Lisa and Frankie |
I spoke to the rescue this morning. The dog was returned to them from the adoptee who could not take care of her. I indicated I was interested in the dog and called the person who had it. As of this posting I have not had my call returned with the info. Apparently the dog was supposed to be viewed today but the people cancelled. My first oppurtunity to see the dog will be on Friday. I hope the dog is still available then. This dog was put up for adoption last summer when it was 7 months old. |
We picked up the dog yesterday. It appears is was as described. Introductions to our dogs went well. The dog was at the groomer and shaved and left with eyebrows Groucho Marx style. The dog was UDT on shots, spayed, microchipped. This dog has a need for some training which will happen. Took her to the vet this morning an walked out with some meds for worms and a possible staff infection. Looks like she will be a good match in out household as the 2 sheepdogs and golden retriever seem to get along with her at this point. I think we made a good choice with this one. |
That is great news! I hope you have many years of happiness with the new dog! |
