Oh that's great! I had been thinking about that & wondering if he got them |
Very cool. Hopefully it brightened his season a bit! Are you referring to the member here we sent cards to her husband? I'm terrible with "real" names.
We don't even have an embassy in Iran and the only citizens I believe we have there are obtained, so you probably mean Iraq or Afghanistan |
How great. I too was wondering if he received the card. So happy our sheepies put a smile on our service man and women |
I am terribble with the people names too! I only knew her human name because he wrote it in the letter. Hubby name is Scott I think...She must be on the forum somewhere...One of the dogs names is Baloo. Step forward so we know your human name! LOL....I know I probably didnot spell it correctly but it was an unusual spelling |
I received a thank you letter from Scott, too. Bekki's forum name is his_armywife; their dogs are Baloo and Lily. They live in upstate NY (Watertown, I think) and Scott is deployed in Iraq.
I did email Bekki about the note but didn't post it here because I wasn't sure if he was sending them to everyone, or to me because of coordinating the list. In any case, he was very appreciative of all the cards; said many soldiers came to his office to take a look at any new photos he might have gotten. In part, he said, and I quote: "I thank you from the bottom of my heart and know that your photos did not go unwanted or looked at as a nuisance. They have brought many a smile to my face and a warmth to my office." Bekki, it was our privilege and honor to send the cards to Scott, and I'm so glad he's enjoying them. Please wish him a happy and safe new year as well! |
