I keep a bottle on hand at all times. My dogs don't have trouble with their ears very often but when they do, this stuff nips it in the bud. I get it from my vet & it's not very expensive. He's the one who suggested keeping it on hand. Main thing to remember is it contains hydrocortisone so you want to use it as directed. |
Marilyn,
On the web site, it sells two different kinds. That with the hydrocordisone and one without. Would the one without do any good???? I have drops I keep on hand from my vet but they have Gentimicin in them and was thinking if I could use these - the Zymox Otic - as a preventative? |
I don't know. I've only ever used the one with Hydrocortisone. It worked so fast & so well that I only keep that one on hand. I literally would see results within 24 hours. Now mind you, I am catching this right away too. Since I show my dogs, they are on the grooming table all the time having something done & 1 thing I've always been up on is checking their ears & cleaning them. |
When we lived in Montana, I used the one with Hydrocortisone and had great luck. It would work quick and fast -----
Marylin is right - catching the infection right away is key. |
