Twin lambs born this morning, in the middle of our Christmas snow storm. Mom and lambs are in the barn, all are doing well. I will take pictures at some point and post them. |

Cool! Can't wait to see pics, they are so cute! |
Were there shephards watching the flock, any wise men, and gifts?
Is there a boy are you going to name him J----, perhaps not. |
Why do they wait to lamb until the weather is really rotten? Well, the throughbreds across the street manage to find the coldest days to foal. Yes, breeding date is part of it, but even then they don't deliver when the weather is moderate, they wait for the wind/snow.
Congrats on the newbies in the barn! |
Congrats on the twinies! I'll look forward to seeing their pics when you aren't so busy. |
Todd said they are mostly white and doing well. I didn't get a gender report - I'll ask when I call him back later this evening. |

Maybe they figure most predators are smart enough to be holed up during a storm. Kind of like bitches seem to figure most humans prefer to, oh, say, sleep in the middle of the night Kristine |
Kristine,
That was exactly what I was thinking!!! lol *sigh* How I wish I lived somewhere where I could have livestock & have enough $$$ to care for them...although only as pets (perhaps I am still a little suburban!). Congrats on the lambs! What a great Christmas present!!! |
