You too, eh? I think my boss finds my excitement over putting the shortest day of the year behind us as soon as possible a wee bit weird, but really - I need daylight! Sunshine would be a nice thing too. Happy Solstice to you too! Or, as I like to think of it: Happy It Can't Get Any Worse Than This Day! Kristine |
Well, I was going to write "Gentle Geetings!"
But Kristine's, Happy It Can't Get Any Worse Than This Day - is kinda catchy!!! |
Glass half-full day? |

I have to tell you, I genuinely look forward to this day! Maybe it's the Norwegian half of me, who knows? Kristine |
You? I woke up thinking about swimming soon - must be the unhappy New Yorker in me |

Its one of the few milestones of the year that has an actual basis in reality for us...groundhog day? Yeah, right! shadow or no..we know we have a crapload more winter coming!...1st day of spring? HA! That's like a cruel joke your calender plays on you every year! At least I now get to hear the news report say weve gained a minute tomorrow, instead of lost! |
It is wonderful that we will slowly but surely be getting more and more sunlight. Unfortunately the expression "as the days begin to lengthen the cold begins to strengthen" holds true, at least here in northern Illinois.
Today is also my grandma's birthday. She'd be 109! |
The REAL hump day!
Woo hoo! |
Bring on Summer |
LeAnne and I were talking about the solstice as well this morning!
We have been celebrating that the days are now getting longer from here on out |
