Dogs just LOVE it. I will post pix tomorrow. I am exhausted from digging out the driveway and walk way to the house. My driveway is about 175 feet long and fits four cars across Took us over 6 hours...and that's with a snow blower! How do you people in the snow states do it???? |

I wish we had a little more if we have to have any. We have just enough to make everything moist and a little muddy after the dogs run through it. Sucks! |
oh how i wish we'd get some snow!!!!! |

Thats a pretty good sized snow dump! Glad the pups are enjoying it! We have a regular snow plow service, where they come out automatically whenever there is a storm. We also have a snow blower, to fill in between plows, and clean up the edges etc. Most men that I know admit to kinda enjoying snow blowing and I kind of (weirdly, I know) enjoy shoveling...so long as its not HUGE amounts! We also dont even consider a non-4 wheel drive vehicle when we buy cars or trucks, and everyone is fairly accepting of the inevitable winter delays, and crappy roads. Snow is actually the least of our worries, here in the far-north...far worse is the freeze/thaws of spring, with all the nasty ice, the periods of extreme cold (we usually get some -20F and lower temps in January and February) with their attendant frozen pipes and miserable house-bound dogs ...and then of course the lack of sunlight. Right now, our sunrise is at aprox 10AM, and its down again by 3PM! Come on SOLSTICE!!!! |
Well coming from an Alaskian, I guess we did get a big storm! Actually our family has four wheel drives and wouldn't get anything else. Not only is it good for the snow, but we use it on the beach. Unlike Daytona, where the sand is hard and the cards can go on the beach there, our "4 wheel drive" beaches are strictly 4 wheel drive access, with nice powdery sand and usually a bit secluded from the main beaches.
Ah, look at me, buried in snow and talking about the beach! |
