Loving my sheepie

I really wish I had found this breed along time ago. Every night I tell my husband how much I love my Frankie. It's such a wonderful breed and so much fun to have around. Frankie is our first oes. I wish I had started alot sooner.
 :)

oh i understand. i have always had shih tzus, and still will, but the sheepies are so wonderful. my shih tzus are like little sheepies
I think my boyfriend echos your sentiment. He's never had a dog, and says he never wanted one. When I came along, we had several cat years before my biological clock went berserk. Unlike most people, I have no desire to have traditional children; my clock is set for Sheepdogs. Anyway; I was looking online for a few months when I saw there were 2 litters not far from where we live. I got "I guess I don't have much of a choice in the mattere" from the BF, and off we went to look at puppies.

We were there for about an hour when he had picked out TWO. 8O Two years later (almost to the day, actually!) and I cannot imagine him without these dogs. They've become a huge part of our lives, but even more surprising, they have wiggled their way into his heart (think "Grinch").

Bet. Breed. Ever.

I decided on a sheepie but hadnt mentioned it to my DH. A puppy became available while he was working overseas so I bought Tiggy.

DH was a bit put out when he got back. He thought I was babysitting someone else's puppy. :?

Now he tells me how cute she is every night. He's preaching to the converted though. :D
I got eye-rolling last year for being on the OES Christmas card list. Now that the cards have begun coming in again, he brings me my stack dutifully each day, and stand there while I open them, "ooh"ing and "ahh"ing, saying how cute each one is!!!!

I have just purchase a video camera for DH's Christmas present. He has been making noises for the last few months about getting one so he can video Tiggy. He doesnt think she looks as cute in photos as she did when I showed her to him on video skype when he was away for work last.

And yes I will be using it! :D
^^^^^^^^^^

Can't wait to see the Tiggy videos!!!! :D :D :D :D

I was looking for another beardie when the Humane Society called and said they had a sister for my Millie.....we went to see the 4 month old 'beardie' pup that turned out to be an OES...(Pearl)...after that I was hooked on this wonderfully joyful breed!!!!!

Saved every penny I could to get Heart, since, according to hubby, this was MY dog...NOT his....   ...NOW we have agruments on who the dogs, especially Heart LOVES BEST!!!!! It is so funny to see both Pearl and Heart on our love seat with hubby in the middle....

(Coz has never been a snugglepuppy....)
That's me also. I never had children of my own. We have always had dogs. Those have been my babies. I should say mostly my husbands babies. Then I picked Frankie out. He's my baby.. :D :D :D
Daddy just took him out for the last time and there is snow on the ground. I'm yelling take pictures take pictures Frankies first snow....Awwwww....

He said it was too dark out to take a good picture. Well we will have to get it tomorrow....
Our 1st OES got us hooked as well.
Todd and LeAnne went to look at the puppies and Ollie became a part of the family. :D
Carefull there addictive, bit like chips you cant stop at one

its wrong that I've begun thinking about a third, isn't it? I haven't told the BF.
My first OES found me...we were military stationed in Alaska and my husband's cousin had taken an OES from someone who had her shipped there to breed with their male OES..the male OES almost killed her. Thy couldn't let her in the house and were looking for a good home for her...husband was in Colorado, two little girls in Florida visiting grandparents and I took her, got her cleaned and shaved to make sure she would be good for our family...it was LOVE from the first day...when she died my husband (who didn't want a dog), found a OES puppy for the girls because they were so upset over our loss of Callie...we had her almost 14 years and she was just the greatest! I have two tibetan terriers now but still miss having an OES but my Rosie is going on 10 and doesn't do well with other dogs giving me affection...maybe someday I will have another OES but for now my two TT's keep me pretty busy...they also are VERY loyal, loving, smart dogs...pretty close to having children, similar to OES traits just smaller.
