Today I brushed out Toby and Charile and afterward they looked better but still smelled like stinky sheepdogs so I decided to give them a winter bath. Afterward they dried off in the house and then I fluffed out their long coats. Wow. Show dogs— this what sheepdogs are supposed to look like. So then, feeling like all that work had accomplished something, I let them out in the back yard to pee. They immediately bounded up to the top of the lot and headed straight for the ditch, still muddy from the last rain. So much for show dogs. Can't wait for spring and the first clip. |

the first thing Luna likes to do after a bath and blow dry is go outside in roll in a pile of leaves. The second thing she likes to do is roll in another pile of leaves. The third thing? You guessed it. Roll in more leaves. After that, she likes to tackler her newly washed sister.... into a pile of leaves. I'm sort of resigned to it. |
How frustrating. I do love that freshly laundered sheep dog though. Nothing smells quite as good and the fur is so soft. |

I think I'd be more frustrated if it was mud; at least you can comb out leaves. And it does seem to make her so happy.... Good smelling sheepies may make me happy, but if they are clean, and smell like a pile of leaves and they are happy? I'm okay with it. |
I bathed Chewie yesterday, LeAnne bathed Martha today.
Ours are clean and nice smelling - and they will stay that way ....thanks to the frozen ground and light snow!!!! |
