I did it for two reasons 1)I may have put it on too soon after baths(thanks Marilyn) and 2) they are itching sooooooooooooooooooo bad. When we went to the Vet a few days ago he couldn't find any fleas. Tonite putting the frontline on I parted the white hair on Simon and there was a flea Lets hope this will help. I feel so bad for them. I treated the house a week ago..do I need to do it again? |

Fleas in WI in winter? This year in Florida we had a bad tick problem. Glad it is over. Treated house twice and yard twice. Finally beat the buggers! |
Depended what you treated the house with as to if you needed to treat again. You have to break the repro. cycle of the flea since not all stages are prone to destruction. In the mean time vacuum daily......twice daily...to remove any new hatchlings....and dispose of the debris immediately. |
Living in a Northern area does not mean you will not have flea problems year round. I have noticed a number of people on the forum seem to question why someone would want to use anti-flea medication year round. Actually the flea is a pretty hardy little fellow. They can and do survive through the coldest on winters in many Northern areas depending on what particular stage of their life cycle they are in. We, with the recommendation of our Vet keep Bailee on Frontline Plus all year. All it takes for a dormant flea to "come alive" in the winter is some warmth and a possible host in the area. |
