Started Getting OES Christmas Cards!!
I think each year you guys take it up a notch! I love them. oesmom2 and I must have been thinking along the same lines! Very cute and I never sign in bestdogsx was making all those in the south jealous with all that snow. Now, to find the perfect place in the house to show them off. |

also; I usually use Shutterfly ( I had discount codes) but the shape of my photo didn't work with ANY of their layouts; and they had ALOT. So I had to go with the slightly more expensive Vistaprint  |

| I too have begun to get cards! Woot to all you early birds.
Last year I took a photo of Kiera under the tree and with the computer I made it look like a drawing.. This year I actually took the time to water color a painting of Tagg and then took a photo of it... I sure hope the cards come out okay.... I will pick them up later this weekend from the local CVS photo department.. Keep the cards coming... mom is really enjoying each and every one of them! |

This is my first year doing this and I am loving it! My 80 year old Dad who lives with us looks at everyone and it brings a big smile to his face. This is the same Dad who insisted no dogs |

| It snowed a couple days ago, and still was here for our outdoor pictures. I was afraid it would all blow away - not melt!
So, I took the pictures today. Tomorrow I plan on ordering/printing the cards. Hopefully out in the mail the beginning of the week!!

Lisa and Frankie Sometimes after everyone has sent their cards out they post the pictures used in the cards here. But we wait until they've been received so as not to spoil it for the recipients. Join us next year - it's great! |

Some year maybe I'll have all of my dogs sparkling clean at the same point in time in December and can take a Christmas pic. But I'm not holding my breath... | Today I just got a card from Simon's mom!! I usually don't check the mail every day since packages come to my door, but I can't help myself. I pack all three kids up in their car seats just to check the mail. Yes, I'm too lazy to WALK down the street. I'm busy and this is quick! |

Someone in line behind us started talking to me, so I turned my back on him and we talked. When everyone started laughing, I turned around and he'd laid down and decided to nap.....
So, I took advantage and snapped a couple more pictures! It was at the holiday open house at The Paw - they had self-serve Santa pictures. One of the staff dressed in the Santa suit, and you could bring your pets and your camera and take pictures for free.
Santa was on break and the chair was free (and beautiful), so I wanted to get a picture of him in the chair. |
My cards are finally in the mail!! I have enjoyed getting the mail every day and my husband is a riot--he stands right over me as I open each one and--he is putting them all up on the door in my office! Too funny since he wasn't interested in helping to get the pics for my cards--had to do it myself--now he wants in on the fun! So many good-looking sheepies!! 
My boys beards ALWAYS look dirty--even after they come home from the groomer--I just figure--that is the way they always look-- I really love all your cards! |

| Yesterday i received six! Thanks all for doing this. It is so much fun! There are so many beautiful sheepies on this site and creative people. I too get so disapointed when there are none in the mailbox. My husband, friends and family now call me to see if I have any new ones, then come over to look at them. My shih tzu breeder wants to start this with shih tzus. |

Dino, like all the other husbands, loves to look at all the lovely sheepies....he opens all MY cards before I get home from work and has them all spread out on the kitchen counter, so the first thing I do, (even before I say hi to the puppers )...is look at MY cards!!!!

| Sometimes I wonder why I do this - sometimes it seems like a hassle to get a picture, make the cards. But then I start getting cards, and suddenly I remember why - I LOVE IT!!
I've actually gotten more sheepie cards then I have regular cards from friends/family! My kids pretend to roll their eyes when they come home, but when no one's looking, I find them staring and smiling at the sheepie cards! |

| We always hang our cards on the archway that divides the 2 sides of our familyroom. This year Jim is putting all the OES ones together. I haven't told him yet that it is going to take both sides of the archway for cards this year! He's really enjoying seeing all the different dogs & where the cards are coming from! But he's still drooling over the palm trees & the OES in the little bright red car! |

We have antique shutters in our dinning room and have always put our cards in the slats. This is our 1st year and we are quickly filling them. I can't wait to see all of the wonderful cards. Ours went out on the 10th so hopefully they will make it to all by Christmas Eve...............Kathy |

| Ahh thanks Paula. I saw a white tree on here last year and had my heart set on one since then. Our living room & dining room are white, red & pale blue so the tree matches the decor. I have red & white stripe baubles on it now which match the cushions I made in the summer, I have a 'thing' about stripes at the moment I was expecting to pay 3 times more for it too, we got it supercheap!! |

That's what I thought too! I went with zazzle instead of stamps.com this time and I think they came out much better. Plus they have 3 size options, which is really nice. I chose medium. |

ARRRGGHH! 
I finally got my cards back from the printer, and they trimmed them too small! There was supposed to be an area to write on, below the image...but they just went ahead and trimmed them flush.
Sigh....oh well, I guess Ill maybe write on the backs. Scott's comment (because they are so narrow, now), was: "Hey, maybe people will use them as bookmarks!" 
Oh well...at least they're done! |

| Between work and taking care of Moms funeral and related details, I'm just now catching a breath. I asked DH to keep all the Sheepie cards in a pile as they arrive. I didn't want to open them until I had time to sit down and appreciate each one.
This morning I had time to open all 30 received so far. Wow! Each year the cards are more wonderful, creative, sweet, touching and funny. Tonight they will be hung by the chimney with care for all to enjoy. Thanks to all for including me in such a wonderful holiday tradition. Apologies to our out of country members, my cards should arrive in time to celebrate the New Year. |

| A friend stopped by today and she spent about an hour looking at all your sheepie cards. I was amazed as she kept going back and looking again and again--she even began asking lots of questions about each dog and each family. I did admit that I don't have a 'close' personal relationship with each family--and explained the process.
Anyway...she is very motivated to visit oes.org (she doesn't have a single pet)! but was fascinated that people you never met would send cards---I don't think she ever really got that it was all about the DOGS!
Too funny--you and your sheepies were the topic of her entire visit! Best of all she left smiling with a camera full of pictures of Baley and Baxter--and a picture of the door with the cards! Made her day! |
| Even though I keep my cards at home to display, before I hang them up, I take them to work to show my co-workers. They LOVE seeing them. They too are a bit confused that we all haven't met, and that we don't know much about each other, but we know sooooo much about each others pups! I love this tradition, and once more thank Chris for keeping it going!  |
| My husband asked me last nightg if anyone in the US hadn't sent me a card yet?( he is prone to exaggerate) I told him "ha! this is only half of them!!"
The cards are great - as usual. Mine just arrived last night and I hope to have them in the mail Monday (apologies to our overseas members for the tardiness) |

| Amber, I'm still waiting for your card. I must live in a pocket of postal slowness because people will post about the cards they have received, and I get mine a few days later.
From yesterday, Tonks and Luna...... Laugh out loud funny Gumbo......Bella is growing up to be as beautiful as her name. Mine went out on Monday. Hope they have left town |

He loves the rain and the mud! This would have made an interesting xmas card! My friends, family and neighbors call or stop by each day to see if I received any more cards. All love them. |
