My husband and I have been looking for an Old English Sheepdog to adopt. He had one as a child and has his heart set on finding another. We are not having much luck in our search, however. I have been told there is a long waiting list at our California OES rescue and we really don't want to go through a breeder. Does anybody know where we can find a young guy or girl to adopt? Thanks, Sarah Wilkinson sarahsprcare@hotmail.com or standclear@tcsn.net |

You might want to contact someone at OES Rescue of Southern CA. I don't know about Central CA but I believe this group is fairly active, despite their barely ever updated website. I would suggest phoning them instead of emailing them since I wrote to them and my email went unanswered. I'm sure they're just busy. Good luck!http://oesrescue.com/ |
Keep the faith, you will find one. I found Daisy last August in So Cal at a shelter! She is quite a wonderful find too.
Look at rescues out side of the state. For instance the Texas OES rescue, (I forget the exact url) will adopt outside of the state and have a few available. You will find the perfect companion just keep looking and understand it can take a bit of time. We looked for Daisy for about 6 months. best of luck! |
I would suggest contacting grannie annie at NEOESR. They place oes all over North America.
