Sighing Sheepie...

Hey kids!
I feel kinda silly asking this, because it may just show what an inexperienced parent I am, but...
What kind of breathing is normal for a Sheepie? Are quick breaths normal even when he's settled and laying down?
Also, what does it mean if Curtis is sighing a lot? Is he just bored or does that help him to manage feelings of stress like it does for people? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Good question! - I'd like to know too!

Woof often breathes very fast when he settles down in front of us. Sometimes it's after play (so I'd expect him to maybe be out of bearth) but not always!

He also sighs, and makes lovely "satisfied" noises, especially wen just waking up or going to sleep - they do make me smile!
Max sighs too. Mostly when he is dissapointed with us. For example: when I come home from work at 7:00 am, I usually take him for a walk, but if I don't he will walk back and forth with his lead a couple of times then he will just flop down on the floor and sigh Loudly.

He also belches just like a frat boy  Does anybody else get this?
O yea! Gracie can belch better than any boy I know :o
Buckley breaths heavier/faster than Gracie. I just thought it was because Buckley's so much younger and has more energy.
Gracie is just like Max- she'll just plop down on the floor and sigh heavily when she doesn't get what she wants- It's so funny & cute

Missy- this is the first time I've seen your picture. Curtis is ADORABLE!! :D

Cindy & the Monsters
Bunker sighs when she doesn't get her way or she is annoyed with me.
Also she can belch and it is usually in my face right after she eats. She always get up on the couch beside me and licks me face and burps. NICE. I call her a little piggy and then she goes and throws herself down and the floor. Bunker also snores like a freight train. SHe has woken me up more than once with her snoring and woofing in her sleep.
Wow! Thanks for all the great responses! I'm so glad to know that Curtis is a normal sheepie. I guess every parent likes to know that their kid is par for the course... at least as far as their physical behavior is concerned.

I can't say that Curtis is much of a belcher, but he does get the hiccups every once and a while. My guess is that he gets them anytime there's a change in his diet, and I'm sure he doesn't enjoy them, but they're still pretty gosh-darn adorable!
Looks like I'm a big fat liar... Curtis gave me a big fat burp in my face after his dinner last night! Uck!
Lennon doesn't burp... (That I Know!) but he sighs a lot when he doesn't get his way. If you don't pay attention to him when he wants to, he will drop on all fours and start sighing to show that he's frustated, he's really funny!
