This was in the Sunday's comics with the definition. Dh was making fun of me because before that I didn't know what it was(didn't actually care either). I asked a few people at work and some knew and some didn't. |

I've actually tried it. |
It is good. It's a turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck that is stuffed with a de-boned hen.
It's a Louisiana thing. |
I've only heard about it. Never tried one. I hear they're good? |
they sell them frozen in our local supermarket - $59. |
Yes, I knew. Haven't tried one, though. I've heard of one using goose, too, but I'm not sure what that one's called. |
We had one this weekend. It was very good! Highly recommended! |
My husband just asked me if I knew too. They had some at our thanksgiving 2 yrs ago. There is usually a thread asking this every year here. I'm waiting for the ban turkey on turkey day thread. |
Turducken - not tarducken - right?
Todd and I saw it made on the food network last year, pretty amazing! |
Yes, it's Turducken (Turkey, Duck, Hen).
I've seen it done and it looks pretty good. Just haven't had the chance to try it. |

I had to find out - Gooducken. Apparently they are all more correctly called Ballotines - in the UK at least - which is a "mulit-bird roast". Now I wonder if the kids would prefer a turducken or a gooducken for Christmas dinner |
The one I had was definitely *not* good. It was well-prepared but the consistency variation of all those different things was just weird. |

Ok Dawn, So I spelled it wrong Not really a biggie - not meant in a bad way! I know you guys do camping, out door stuff so I wasn't even thinking food at 1st. I was more on the oilcloth, outdoor fabric train of thought when I 1st read it. |
Watchers of "The Big Bang Theory" will laugh over Wolowitz's mother's turbriskfila--turkey stuffed with brisket stuffed with gefilte fish. Debcram, did I spell that right??? |
A Tarducken is what you get when a Tarheel eats a Turducken. |
