Now not once since i've been in this house has anyone touched anything....... so i thought i'd only have to replace a few spots of grass where Checker's pee'd......... NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo Thank you very much Delilah! Only 1 more week left in this house, i could not believe it. The two youngster's I'd believe it of, but not DEE. I spent the afternoon going to nursery's to find enough of the ground cover plant to replant the area, as well as the plants she destroyed and the grass. Guess my gardner will have one busy day on Monday. |

I feel your pain.
Our first dalmo (over the bridge) jumped a small garden fence for the first time ever and emptied half a garden bed onto the paved courtyard when he was 11years old. I couldnt believe my eyes when I got home from work to the disaster. Wasnt sure whether I wanted to shoot or strangle him. Just spent hours sweeping up instead. |
Obe last week for some reason decided to dig a hole through the snow, down into the frozen ground. He goes outside and when he comes back in; he had lost his top knot, head was completely covered in snow (looked like a big frozen snowball). His beard and paws were covered in a frozen snow/dirt mixture.
Have no idea what possessed him to dig, but when I found the hole it was huge. Almost like he wanted to dig a snow cave into the side of the hill, only ran out snow. |
well at least I know where Heart got her digging skills from!!!!!! |
Shon, he was looking for that bone he burried last summer!!
yes Val, from her verrrryyyyy bad mother!!!! |
Be careful with Obe outside. Friend sent pixs of her cousin's front yard in Bailey......3 mountain lions checking out the owner's car. |
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |
I know, that's one thing that scares me... but we do live in the mountains. I believe the mountain lions were here long before man decided to invade "their" territory.
We had one outside our house earlier this fall. Got a call from Colin and Tara saying do not let Obe out there was a mountain lion in the back yard. Not like you can put up a fence and keep them out. More scared in the summer since no one mows their yards (everyone wants the natural look) here and the grass gets knee to thigh high, makes it difficult to spot them. Thanks for the warning, they definitely live around the area. I'm almost sure that I have at some point walked by or at least been spotted by one in all the years I lived here in mountains of Colorado. |
