I am sure Greyhound rescue will be stepping in with a full team to get these babes to safety BUT, that is alot of dogs! |
Well now that they are closing...it time to throw out the garbage |
I did a little research on this yesterday and it seems as if there is a lot of misinformation floating around. They are closing, but many of these dogs are either privately owned or will be transferred to other tracks. The rest are not in danger of being euthanized but will indeed new homes. Greyhound rescue groups will be helping out, so if anyone is interested in helping they are probably the best to contact, and there are a few in the Midwest. |
Yes, the area greyhound rescues have this coordinated. If you want to help, please contact your local greyhound rescue as well. |
That is great news! I was cross-posting for a greyhound rescuer in CT. I'll have to let them know this! |
Also, that woman Joanne Kehoe is not affiliated with the rescue at all. She is requesting her name/number be removed from all posts. Poor lady must be getting swamped with calls!
Am I the only one thinking a greyhound might be a good addition? |
