Mine are like that too. Can spot their own kind at least a quarter of a mile away. I have agility classes on Wednesdays; Sybil's excellent/masters class, followed by Macy's Novice/Open class followed by a beginners class a friend joined in progress with her rescue OES who has stayed with me on and off and who is basically part of my pack when she's at the house. The first time Macy saw her we were at the other end of the building. There were lots of other dogs there. Lots in Sadie's vicinity. She paid no attention to any of them until Sadie walked through the door. First she stared. Then she ran the entire length of the building to get to her. Last week she was a little bit better and settled for staring
Absolutely fascinated by the fact that there's another OES and she can't have recognized her the first time she saw her from afar. She just KNEW it was an OES and KNEW she needed to say hi. Kristine |
I think they know. Obe has met a couple and plays and acts differently than with other dogs too. He will say hi as dogs do and then goes front legs down butt in the air and wiggles. Quite funny. |
I know how excited I was when our dog got her first experience, so glad you guys got to play with another OES too! |
