New pupper...not an OES....

She is an American Bull Dog. Daisy, her mom had 21 pups, 4 died at birth. 4 girls..13 boys..Her story was on our local news and CNN picked it up too!!! WELCOME...LITTLE FURBABY... I love your puppy breath!!!!! 
((Can't wait for Heart to realize she is NOT the baby anymore....  ))

| Jill....Maureen had a video of Daisy, the mom, going into the welping box and all 17 puppies tried to nurse on her! Is was soo cute, the puppies were 3 deep on her sides, and the slurping,sucking noise was so loud, almost obscene...!!! ...but sooo adorable. I will see if she could email it to me!!!

| Val, make sure she socializes the heck out her, even pushing the envelope a bit if she has to with puppy vaccines. Mom seemed like she may be a bit shy around people and even if not it's hard to adequately handle that many puppies individually. Lots of parties where people come to meet her and she gets passed around, or she can come attend (non-dog, for now, due to the risk of exposure) events. I would start grooming her with a soft brush now and handling her feet including between pads with lotsa cookies and pay special attention to trimming her toe nails and checking her ears and looking in her mouth and all the usual.
Very adorable I love the name Mia. Have long had it on the backburner as a name for a future dog of my own.

Has your daughter looked at any clubs in the area? We have a friend who has a pit bull and they are members of a local bully breed club. They get together each week for play dates and support. Their guy's name is Smirf, he is really cute and such a love bug. Lucy LOVES him! |

My daughter had made plans in August to go to Texas for Thanksgiving...so guess who gets the baby!!!!????? MEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEeeeeeEEEEEe!!!! For 4 whole days!!!!!! I know I will get little sleep..but I don't care!!!!! |
