Harry's prize.......

.... a day at the Spa! 8O

Doesn't this sound like something someone who likes BLING would be envious of? :P

I think they were a little surprised and hoping it was a Chihuahua so they could get off easy.

I am a little nervous about anyone grooming him. So I will be discussing it when we go in to pick up the prize.

Actually, Harry may think this is no prize at all. :( He was hoping for food.

The spa place was no doubt praying for a short haired dog and small as a bonus.
They must have choked when they found out who won. 8O
Enjoy the spa whoever gets it.
That is funny - I bet Harry will look spiffy - or Heart if she outmanuevers him!
He is going to need the spa. :(

Two days ago I took him to a self dog wash place to give him a bath. Last night he looked so incredibly fluffy and white. Tonight after PAWS for Reading I took him to the dog park to treat him for being a good therapy dog.

There was an 11 month old Lab Puppy - you know how Harry loves his puppies. This particular Lab had issues with playing in the water trough so the owners kept dumping the water to keep him from playing in it. Harry traipsed through the resulting mud several times.

So my clean boy is now a disgusting mess. :(

    Harry loves life!!!!!!!

We are country too - and we have them in the small towns - as part of the self serve car washes. I imagine LOTS of farm dogs get hauled in for baths this way!

They are a raised stainless steel tub (with ramp) and have a flexible arm/nozzle - like a commercial kitchen's dishwasher. It has a dial like the carwash - shampoo, conditioner, flea treatment, rinse, etc. (I bring my own products)

You feed quarters in it for a certain amount of time. I think ours have an 8 minute/ $5 minimum. They also have a dryer on the timer too.
We have nothing like that here at all.Do they dry the dogs too??................. We need to move
Our dog wash is inside which makes it especially nice to use during the winter months and after work. It costs $21 to use their facilities - tubs, dryers (air blowers that actually blow the moisture out) and includes shampoo though I bring my own. If you come in once a month your price gets discounted to $15.

I love it because all the wet mess, towels, etc. stays at their facility and I bring home a clean dog. I can get Harry done anywhere between an hour and two hours depending on how dry I try to get him. The last two times we went in there we were the last customers of the day. I had Jack or Tim with me so we used the adjoining dryer and tagged teamed him to get him done faster. I don't feel bad as I will be using the same amount of electricity whether two of us do it in half the time or one of us does it for the whole time.

Here is a link to a page showing the inside of their facilities:

WE sooooo need to MOVE!!!
