It's not loud and annoying (like my husband is ), just a very low, deep rumble. The first time I heard it I couldn't believe it - I went over to where he was sleeping and laid down next to him to be sure I was hearing it right. Yup - ssssnnnnoooorrreee. He never even heard me, he was sleeping that deeply. So I guess the question is: Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it just a sign that he's actually getting the deeper sleep he needs? Since he's been so goofy happy and healthy lately, I don't want to think that this is a concern, or......................maybe I just need something to worry about? |

My Phoebe snores a little. It's rather soft and not unpleasant. Oddly, we hardly ever see her sleeping so when she does fall asleep on the floor and snores it's rather unusual but I've never worried about it. |
soft snoring is fine. If it gets loud, then check under all the hair to make sure there isn't a bull dog under there with a short muzzle.
My best snorer is Glacier who does have a shorter muzzle than regular Pyrs, plus she's old. Even then the snoring isn't nearly as loud or long has DH.....who also has a short muzzle, old, etc. |
Violet snores on occasion and so do my Aussies. Asia was growling in her sleep last night, tut that's another story, Sometimes I startle awake and try to figure out if the snoring is coming from hubby or the dogs. |
Hey I never really thought about it but neither of mine snore. My old dog would snore up a storm. I hope they don't start. finally no man no snoring. Don't need my dogs snoring. I hate it I am very very light sleeper. |
Chewie snores very lightly. I only hear it when we are in the car, on the way home from classes...... |
Toby would very softly snore, Walter hasnt started it yet..........to young |
Ru snores & it sounds like someone sawing a piece of wood. So far we have joked that he's made a kennel, an extension to the house, finished the bathroom remodelling and a new fence. If only!! |

Funny you bring that up. My dog just turned 3 today in fact. He started a few weeks ago, as the weather got cooler as well, snoring a bit at night and sleeping deeply too. Exactly as you described. Must be the "bear" in them, getting rady for their winter hibernation |
