I am not sure a home with children is the best bet for him or another dog since he craves attention so much. And also, perhaps he needs to be outside all day so that he can learn not to scratch down doors when people leave. Does anyone have any suggestions or know anyone looking for a 1 year old male OES in Denver/CO? |

Thanks for posting about him. He sounds like a handful although possibly manageable by someone with the patience to contain and retrain him a bit. Is he your dog? Have you been in touch with Colorado OES Rescue? They are having some difficulties as an organization but there are still people to help with sheepdogs that need rehoming. yes, this new family wanted him because they were looking for a mate for their Goldendoodle. They have two small kids and he has been herding/nipping at them..so thus the frustration. |
Not uncommon at that age, nipping is an issue. Please do consider contacting the rescue group. They are knowledgeable and experienced in what an OES needs in a home and can help you or your friends. |
CO OES is having a rough patch with finances BUT, they are still very active and will help place the pup. Please give them a call. |
