You probably have already done so but print up and distribute a picture, information about the dog and contact info and take it to-
Animal Control Local shelters Pet stores Veterinarians Police If it's possible, post a picture and info near bus stops in the area, both public transportation and school bus stops. Kids often see things when out playing with their friends. I found a black dog running loose on Friday. This muscular Rottie/PB/Lab type dog had a leash around it's neck and no collar. I took him up and down the streets for about 45 minutes trying to find his owner. I talked with one neighbor kid who thought it belonged across the street. Nope, they had a chocolate Lab. I saw him again with another kid and he said the people in the green house down the street (ummm... no green house down the street ) just got a new dog named Fluffy. Yeah, right. This muscular boy named Fluffy?? I called the police because AC was closed for the weekend and they said the shelter had holding pens that were monitored over the weekend. We took food and water with us and as we were leaving with him, we stopped the neighbor driving by and asked if she had lost a dog. "!!YES!!" They had gotten him 5 days ago and his name was... Fluffy! Don't give up hope. Talk with as many people as you can. |
Hannah was finally found today, She was less than a mile from home. After two days of running through fields and the woods, she was found sleeping under a tree behind a house pretty close to her home. Other than having alot of ticks and some scratches to her face from all the brush, she is in really good shape. She's been cleaned up and taken to the vet. All should turn out well for her. She is now home with her family. Thankyou to everyone. |
Yay Hannah!!!!! |
That's wonderful news!
Makes me all teary eyed. I know how I'd feel if one of mine had been lost and returned unharmed. Thanks for the update. |
Thank God for her safe return!! |
