Also, do I eat it hot or cold?? Thank you!! |
|
It is a dry measure of an 8 oz cup. If you have a liquid measure two cups is the same as a pint or a half quart, just slightly less than 1/2 of a litre. |
Thanks Ron, you'e a lifesaver! I got as far as blending the pumpkin pulp before I realised I didn't know how much to use! I'll carry on with it now!
Oh yes......do I serve it hot or cold? Thanks! |
Your choice on the temp... I usually eat most pie cold or
slightly warmed. I think for best flavor, pumpkin pie warmed with some whipped cream on top would be great. |
If its OK to serve warm then thats great......my guests are arriving for dinner in about an hour so I'll finish making it and cook it now so it will be still warm when we get round to dessert! I have the cream ready to go on top! (The mixture smells good now I've added the spices!)
Just right for Halloween! Thanks again! |
Joan chimes in that the measure should be of pureed pumpkin (as you mentioned). I would have thought it would be cubed, but Joan insists that all the recipes that she has been reading specify pureed. |
dont forget to add the sugar to the cream....sweetened whipped cream works best on the pie...... |
How'd it turn out?? |
yes... we want to know how it was!!!karen... happy halloween |
It was delicious! I really enjoyed the cinnamon taste - a bit like hot cross buns without the dried fruit! My guests enjoyed it too, I have some converts to pumpkin!
Thanks for all your help! |
