I voted for "Watching TV with my OES", but it's very seldom that he watches TV with me (i.e. I do the watching he does the "laying there and getting rubs.")
 Ok- well, I kinda cheated, because I don't HAVE my sheepie yet- but I'd LIKE to do some agility, obediance and herding work- I think with an emphasis on herding if I can get the logistics to work right- that'd be so cool!!!

Karen :)
If Dog Showing means being embarrased on the family reunion while trying to make them perform a trick, then we certainly do.

If Agility means how agile you become trying to chase your sheepie while running away with your food, count us in.

Herding meaning being pushed towards the fridge at 3:00 AM? Yup, that too.

Is Musical canine freestyile barking le there's no tomorrow? Our sheepies are expert at that.

Animal assisted therapy? Is that like phisical therapy after falling down the stairs because your sheepie tripped you?

And watching TV with you OES... Is that like watching your OES block the TV to watch it while the most important part of the move is on?

We also enjoy the following stimulating activities as a family:

 Ride the Garbage Can!
 Catch me if you can!
 Chew that check!
 Let's rip a pillow!
 Eat the toilet paper! How many bites to the chewy cardboar center?
 Let's dig to China!
 Pull the stairs carpet!

And their favorite....

 Let's play deaf!
Mine loves playing the "lets play deaf game " too
Saulmr, you crack me up!! I think we qualify for most of those according to your definitions too...LOL.
Lol. I vote to have the "let's play deaf" game added to the list :)
Saulmr you made my day with your reply Thanks!!

Done!
I put watching tv because they do watch tv! : ) As for dog showing...I'll show my guys to anyone who wants to look at them! Playing deaf is also a really popular game in this house! We used to have the "real" deaf boy and he taught the others how to play. The strange part was that HE was the ONLY one of the four who listened to me! First to sit, first to come, first to stay! They all learned hand signals, but Emma was blind so she played deaf REALLY well! "See no evil", "hear no evil", "I'm barking and I can't shut up" and "I'll do anything as long as it's cheese related" are also fun activities!
We have car activities, too. Chase the motorcycle. Bark at the red light. Taz has made up his own special game to torment the girls and we call it "I'm putting my bum on you". The two girls take the back bench seat and he backs up and sits on them...he balances with his back legs dangling and front legs firmly on the floor. If they bark at him, he runs to the front of van and starts all over again. If they don't bark at him, he has no fun at all.
It's kind of hard to choose, but since my focus at the moment as an official activity is showing, that's what I put. Our favorite pastime is watching tv, but they do so many things! For instance, my girls favorite game is tearing up grabage and decorating the house with it. While they rarely include me in that half of the activity, it sure keeps me busy a lot!!!
Thanks for all the wonderful replies !!

We love to watch TV with our pup, he loves old movies,
and musicals. We are in the couch potato mode for winter.

We are seeking an exercise activity, and will start walks
again when the snow and ice clear. May try agility or herding
if we can find it !
I vote for agility....Sam can scale my son's bed with his shoes in her mouth...and the 3 of us can't get her  . This takes place every morning, approximately 10 minutes before we leave for school.
Don't you just love the games they invent?! LOL! Once they have enough participation, they make it "routine"! You'll be playing the chase the shoes game every morning until Sam thinks you've lost interest...then he'll change the rules. Hang onto that backpack or book bag or lunch! Abigail used to go through my husband's brief case and take one bite out of his apple everyday. It became our routine to have "back up" apple and hand it to him on his way out through the door. Heaven forbid we should spoil her game by locking up the briefcase! LOL!
Cathy
Thats the beauty of this breed, good looks and a sense of
humor too !! You never know what zany thing they will do next !!
They just love being with their family.
Right now, my sheepie just draped himself over the arm of the sofa
in order to see me in the computer room.
Must be playtime !!! Let the games begin....
I completely agree! It's a wonder I ever get any work done! Abigail is standing under my desk and has her head between me and it....Ashley has her head under my arm and flips it off the keyboard and Taz is taking up the rear and laying directly behind my chair! I won't go anywhere without him taking note!
More importantly? If YOU don't have a great sense of humor, you won't last a week with these guys! LOL!
Cathy....Happy gaming!
Oh, I forgot to mention their love of the arts-
currently he is playing a song on his toy lobster,
while herding me. Must be musical canine freestyle !!
