Well thanks for letting us know. I am surprised Harry finished in the Top 10 even though there were only nine. |
kerry wrote: And Harry and Heart for their placements in the Front and Finish 2008 Novice Rally Top 10 (well we only had 9 ) rankings.
Kerry, if you look closely you notice that there was a tie for third, I think it was, so ten dogs ranked total and there could be more dogs out there. CONGRATS ladies!! Kristine |
yeah sorry - just looked at names (oops)
my attention to detail is lacking prelunch |
Good job!! |
Oh, congrats to you too, Dawn. Chewie was ranked first in 2008 Rally combined.
And Kathi and Marti's Murphy is ranked as well. And there were ten dogs listed, few of them from the novice rally rankings. So the breed has a serious rally presence. Nice job, all of you!!! Kristine |
See I got sidetracked and didn't get to combined
I so expected to see chewie somewhere - congrats dawn, and kathy and marty |
HUH????????????????????????? What is this...and who do I pay for putting Heart's name on it???? Certainly, there has been a clerical error!!!!!! |
and how does one view this? |

If you subscribe to front and finish it is in the private online library - also maybe in the hard copies and you can order a single issue? |

kerry wrote: got sheep wrote: and how does one view this? If you subscribe to front and finish it is in the private online library - also maybe in the hard copies and you can order a single issue? One could also conceivably have friends such as the breeder of one's dog, or performance oriented friends in your breed who, per chance, might have a subscription.... Actually, this is a great and worthy magazine to support. I don't read it so much for the training articles, well, some of the obedience ones I do, and the agility coverage is so-so, you have clean run for that. But some of the writers have an exquiste sense of humor, it usually has a finger on the pulse of the obedience community, there is so much history and devotion to the sport (it covers herding, rally, freestyle, agility, tracking etc in smaller measures as well) that it's just - special. Plus there's the rankings. Most of you would probably only really be interested in it to see your dog's name in print But you may grow to love it as well. Or you can just depend on your friends to tip you off. Privately. So as to not violate any copy write laws. They used to do agility ratings as well, which is what I typically look for. Ever since preferred they've experienced some glitches and are currently trying to work those out. Kristine |

If my dog actually made 1st in a list, I want to see it!!! I think the rankings are just online for now. Kerry? Have you seen them in F&F itself? Kristine |
LOL - OK.........
as it seems like my above mentioned breeder and "friends" do in fact have at least online subscriptions.......COUGH IT UP!!!! .....PLEASE!!!! |
Congrats ladies.....
What??? Murphy is in it, I bet he was 9th |

Kristine Oh come on - you know we check our mail about as often as you do. I may see the current issue by Christmas |
Donner's Mom wrote: What??? Murphy is in it, I bet he was 9th Marty looked it up...they were tied for 8th! |
OK, there will be NO:
How many OES are represented on this forum? A lot. Probably thousands, yes? OK, now how many of them are ranked in F&F? Exactly. Celebrate. You're a very elite group. And congratulate Monster Mom for Miley's fine showing in the Novice rally rankings as well And, yes, Kerry, Christmas sounds about right. I usually check my mail more frequently in Decemember as the mail lady tends to get a bit cranky when she can't get any more junk mail shoved in there Kristine |
Another slacker at the mailbox here.
They even stopped delivering our free weekly paper because they thought too many were accumulating. Or maybe it was the resulting wasp nest? |
I know, I am very proud of the boys!
If they would just get back at it!!! |

If they would just get back at it!!! Yes they should!!! Marty, Murphy - get back at it!!! Or Chewie will drag your sorry butts out there!! we've been looking for an excuse to road trip..... |
Come on down Dawn!!!
We have GRITS!! I would love to put my hands on that Chewster!! |
Donner's Mom wrote: Come on down Dawn!!!
We have GRITS!! I'm not Dawn but I confess that GRITS is the reason I step on the gas in Indiana and don't let up till I hit Ohio You've got to do better than that, Kathi. Try nice spring weather when it's still snowing in MN and WI. Say in MAY Kristine |
I didn't know they had grits in Ohio but, now when I
have grits I will think of you too Kristine. I just told Dawn the other day I was thinking of her for that reason! Would the fact that it is going to be in the 80's this weekend help?? |
Congratulations to everyone - you are all an inspiration to Winston, Paislee and myself! |
I LOVE grits - so I think it's a good thing.
Grits up here are a sorry excuse.. |
Do we mean grits, or G.R.I.T.S.?
I LOVE grits (especially with cheese- uyum) , bit G.R.I.T.S. - they can be scary (hey I have relatives that qualify ) |

Yes but how many of those on the forum were actually entered in a Rally trial? Exactly. Harry and Heart were entered in exactly one Novice Rally Trial in 2008. If they could have found just two more entries those two probably wouldn't have made the list. Especially based on their behavior in the Rally ring in 2009. So Kristine........ |

So Kristine........ Yes, but the point is you were dedicated enough to train them and brave enough to take them into the ring which puts you in a rare category of OES owner from the offset. Once in the ring they behaved like OES (apparently, and according to your descriptions. I'm shocked, really ) YA happen to notice any of my dogs on those lists? No? None entered. Sybil was entered once in novice early this year and got a 98 that didn't even put her in the ribbons and a big fat NQ the next day which was considerably more memorable Like I said, you're in very good company AND YOU BELONG THERE. But be embarrassed if it pleases you. You're in good company there too Kristine |
You guys are awesome no matter what the numbers! |
