Also the meat was dry. Yuck!!!! My soups are ok and stews. What am I doing wromg? By the way We were not impressed with the deep fried turkey. It also was over done. Not enough oil eith. I put it to the max fill line. It needed 2 inches more. We will do this again as I do like the idea. Just more oil and shorten the cooking time. |

My only guess would be there's not enough liquid and/or the sauce is burning into the sides of the crock pot and then falling into the food?
Have you tried one of those slow cooker liners you can buy at the store (next to ziplock bags, etc). |
Was the meat previously frozen? Maybe it was freezer burnt? |
My guess would also be maybe not enough liquid. I do roasts in the crockpot all the time and they are never dry. |

yes it was frozen but in a foodsaver bag for freezing. NO burn. |
