He called me into the front room and showed me a scene from the show. The two main characters are at a dog pound... and they adopt an OES!! It's beautiful with a thick coat. They name the dog Chill. Chill just sleeps. They take him to the park on a cart, when a girl comes to them to say hello to the dog, the dog doesn't wake up. They throw a frisbee and the dog is still sleeping. What a great way to start my day. |

LMAO.. Chill...........as in Chill-laxin? |
We watched it last night, too. I was going to post but I wasn't sure how many people on this forum would watch that show.
We made Clyde leave the room so he couldn't see them pushing Chill around in the cart otherwise we knew he'd want that, too. |
Man.. I'm sorry I missed it now.. gonna see if I can find it on You Tube. |
If you can't find it on youtube, it should be on hulu. It was pretty funny, though not at all like any OES I know. Either that dog was super trained or they wore him out and he didn't have the desire to move for the scenes. |
luckily its not an overly popular show - can you imagine the puppy surrenders when viewers who want a "Chill" get a real live OES? |

Good god, did they drug it? Way to misrepresent the breed! We get rescue applicants who are unfamiliar with the breed but MUST have an OES and it MUST be a rescue. Then you talk to them and realize that even my multi-titled 12 year old would be too lively for them. I've told our rescue coordinator a number of times that we should buy some plush OES toys and adopt them out and everybody would be happy Kristine |
I wouldn't worry about that too much. It turned out Chill was chill because he was dying. They had him two days and he died. |

And no one thought to question his lethargy? Kristine |

But you sounded so sincere in your knowledge that the dog is dead, and since everything seems to be "reality" TV these days your scenario sounded completely plausible. Kristine |
Wow, I thought it was real and cried buckets for that poor dog. Thanks for setting me straight! |
