Introducing dogs to each other

Well, Frazzle, Sky's brother (littermate) is coming on Thursday to stay with us for a month while his two legged mom goes to Sri Lanka to help rebuild working with Habitats For Humanity. Frazzle will be here for about 5 weeks, and I am so excited to have him here! It will give me some experience with boy sheepies, lol, as well as a taste of what it will be like to have 3 sheepies in the house!
Now, to make this easier on everyone, I am wondering what is the best way to introduce them to each other. He will be here Thursday evening, and I'm not sure if I should a) meet them outside so the dogs can meet on somewhat neutral territory or b) have my girls in their crates so that I can meet Frazzle one on one or c) just let them all do whatever comes naturally and hope for the best?
All 3 dogs are good with other dogs, and none have any aggression issues, but I want to make sure it works out for the best since he will be here over am onth I want ot make sure it is an enjoyable month for the dogs too.
Anyone have some ideas?

neutral territory. maybe a dog run or park. let them play together and then you all can go back to your house like one big happy family.
I agree, neutral territory. Even if you just drive up the block. Leave the girls in the car, you meet with Frazzle, then bring them out. (Don't know if one at a time would be better?)

Also, is Frazzle fixed? If not... 8O One boy, two girls, I'd hate to be the referee on that every few seconds.

I wouldn't think you'd have too many issues since they are opposite sex. If you were bringing another girl in, dare I say "catfight".
Ditto... I agree neutral territory. One at a time as not to put the girls in a position where they think they have to protect each other.

Good luck!
Neutral territory. A park, the street or any place they can greet each other. Maxmm is right... Two girls can get icky, so it may be a good idea to let them greet each other one at a time. They'll like each other, it's just a matter of not letting them feel like they have to protect their territory.

When bringing them home again, rememeber the rules: Enter/Feed/Play, humans first, Alpha second, house doggies, then visiting doggies. Keep an eye on them so they play nice and get ready for lots of fun and pics!!!
Yes it should be a lot of fun....lol.....
I'm looking forward to having him here...
Plus maybe he can teach my girls some good habits, like letting me know when they have to go out to pee!
I'm getting nervous and excited now. LOL
Frazzle should be here in about an hour. When they get here I will go outside to meet Frazzle, and his two leggeds, then I will bring Dancer outside to meet him. Then I will bring Dancer back in the house and bring Sky out to meet him, then bring both Sky and Frazzle in the house at the same time.
I have a gate that separates the front half of the lower floor (the living room, dining room, office and front porch) from the back half (kitchen, bathroom, and my room) so if need be they can be separated. Also we have the crates of course.
I hope Frazzle likes us! LOL I really want him to be comfortable and happy here.... I want him to feel at home, since he will be here about 5 weeks.
Anyway, I will post later and let everyone know how it goes! :) Time to go make supper...
Frazzle is here!!! :)
Holy cow he is H U G E!!!
He is twice the size of my girls, amazing! He is absolutely gorgeous, and such a sweetheart. A big baby. He has a stunning stallion dog presence though, I wish this dog was going to be in the show ring, it's been a long time since I've seen a big handsome male with such presence. He is cool, calm and collected, but when he walks into the room you certainly know it.
I can't wait to borrow the camera and get pics of them.
He is getting along well with the girls, Dancer has established herself as alpha, then I think Frazzle figures he is next and Sky is last.
Frazzle knows how to climb stairs, lol, so he has been checking out the whole house to the kids delight when he goes up and jumps on their beds. LOL
He has only been here for a couple of hours and seems so settled in already.... I don't know if I'm going to want to let him go....lol
I am soooooo tired. Frazzle is a sweetie and seems great in every way, except that he barked ALL night long. No one has had any sleep at all.
I am going to have to try different sleeping arrangements until I find something that works or we will all go insane. LOL
I weighed him just out of curiosity, he is a 70 lb puppy at 8 months old. Big boy!
I only work 4 hours today which is good, because if he barks the whole time I am gone the neighbors will probably call the cops. He is very loud, and never seems to run out of breath.
Bless your heart! :o Sounds like you've got your hands full!! Good luck getting everything worked out. Keep up posted on your progress - and of course, pictures after you've gotten some sleep...
I am soooo glad the babies are all getting along. That is awesome and he sounds wonderful. The barking could be a problem - lol and I know how you feel - Molly our new addition is a huge barker - apparently all day long (my mother in law lives in our basement) and needless to say she has made mention of it once or twice!!!! At least during the night she seems to be a little quieter. I wonder if you should take him to bed with you???? Maybe that will stop the barking?
One word: Mr. Bark Collar.

Ok, three words.

G/A, who hates a barking dog in her house, yet takes in many many dogs every year for foster care, uses Mr. Bark Collar for incessant barkers.

Maybe Frazzle(d neveres) needs a little more time, though.

GOOOOOOOD luck!
Ok Ron! Now you've got my curiosity peaked... what's a Mr Bark Collar?

Karen :)
Well, if it were my own dog I might consider it, but I would never employ any kind of training method without the owners' approval. I talked to Frazzle's two legged this morning, and she said one time when he stayed at a friend of hers for a weekend he barked the first night and was better on the second night. I think he just misses his family.
He seems to have made himself right at home, I just got home from work a few minutes ago and took all three out (one at a time) and all did their business, no messes in the house, so that bodes well for the next month! LOL
Frazzle is a playful imp, much like Sky. I had a roll of papertowel in my hand to refill the roll holder thingy above the kitchen sink last night, and he snuck up behind me and grabbed it out of my hand and ran across the room. Then, with the whole role in his mouth, he crouched in that puppy-ready-to-pounce position, and obviously wanted me to chase him for it. LOL Too cute.
He is very well groomed so it will be easy to keep up with it and keep him in good shape. Two mat free dogs out of three isn't too bad. LOL Dancer has a few I need to work on.
I still can't get over how huge he is. Just massive, and the huge bear head is adorable, but would certainly be intimidating to someone who doesn't know him.
He and Sky are the only ones who ate their food today, Dancer didn't touch hers, so I think her nose is a little out of joint. Dancer did nibble at Frazzle's food a bit, but not because she likes it, she just felt he wasn't allowed to have it until she had a few bites. LOL She hasn't growled or been rough at all, but she has shown some mild, and in my opinion, normal signs of dominance over him just to keep him in his place. Like blocking his food for a few minutes, humping him a couple of times, herding Sky and myself away from him.... LOL
All in all I think it's going well. Now if I can just get some sleep tonight! LOL
I'll try tonight in his crate in the kitchen, and if that doesn't work maybe I will just let him sleep with us for sanity's sake.

Something like this...
Innotek Basic No-Bark Collar

(not an endorsement of this product... I'm not familiar with bark collars., just for a picture)
Aww... here I was hoping maybe it'd tell the dog "no bark" every time the dog barked or something... I think I'll pass on this one.

Karen :)
