1/4 cp flour 1 1/3 cp carrots 1 can diced tomatoes - drained 1 bay leaf 1 onion coursely chopped 1/4 cp dry red wine 1/4 cp beef stock 1 cp sliced mushrooms Preheat oven to 425-- In shallow cassorole toss beef with flour. Bake uncovered 20 minutes- stirring halfway through. Reduce heat to 350. Add remaining ingredients except mushrooms, and stir. Bake covered 1 1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Add mushrooms and bake for an additonal 15 minutes ( covered) . I serve this over biscuits. Mom uses noodles and my sister serves over rice... |
