| Yes I've gotten that email before, it is amazing what our brains are trained to understand. Like most Canadians are required to learn french as a second language, it is not an option, if you don't learn it you don't graduate, and they begin teaching it in junior kindergarten (3 and 4 year olds) Most of us as adults never even use it, and may think we have lost it, but if you have to read a label in french, you don't think twice, you just do, and maybe as an afterthougt realize it is not in english. Or today, someone was speaking french in the store, and I realized after laughing at a comment she made to the cashier, that I had understood her perfectly. LOL |
