also can you use boneless turkey breast we got some from the butcher and nothing I do with them is edible in my eyes - we end up feeding them to the dogs. |
So I take that as a no you haven't done the recipe and have no intention of trying it. |
Where did you see that recipe? I would think if you got it from a good place, it was worth trying and time in a crockpot seems to be the easiest to determine right? ...just be dunking your fork in the meat?
I'd try it if you tell me it's good!! I never crave turkey unless there's mayo and bread involved and hate cranberry, BUT you know I'm always up for new. I've been surprised a lot lately by ingred. I typically avoid! |
CROCKPOT TURKEY BREAST
turkey breast 1 packet of onion soup mix 1 can of cranberry sauce salt and pepper to taste Sprinkle salt and pepper (to taste) and the packet of onion soup mix on the top and bottom of turkey breast. Add cranberry sauce to top of turkey breast and cook in crockpot on low overnight (8 hours) or for three to four hours on high It sounds good but maybe a little salty? |
I'd leave out the initial salt and pepper as the soup mix is a giant salt lick. A sorta friend said it was a good recipe, another tried it and agreed.
Imagine it would be kinda sweet....not as sweet as the lemonade chicken. Maybe add some fresh cranberries to offset the sugared? My freezer has a few bags floating around. Oh well, it would be something different to serve and if it fails, the inner meat would be find for turkey enchiladas. |
