We were Blessed Today!
The Priest was a bit afraid of Bowie, the 100 pounder. But the younger one, Bella, ( 70 pounds) stole his heart. She jumped up to lick his face and the church photographer got the shot. They told me it will be in the church bulletin next week. My Husband got the shot, albeit from a distance. Its in my photo section - I think! I feel so much better today now that y dogs have been officially "baptized"!  |

We got Mopsy blessed when the kids were little. I had a St. Francis medal on her collar that always fell off. My husband always said "St. Francis was jumping off" as if Mopsy was beyond redemption. I got a St. Francis statue to put in the flower bed where we put her ashses. I wanted to get Harry blessed today but they are doing it before I get home from work.  |

| We took Gus to be blessed yesterday.
Our priest was delayed, so folks were just standing around waiting quietly in the wet, yucky snow. Then Gus arrived and all heck broke loose! Gus insisted on going around to “meet and greet” the other pups, and in a few minutes it was bedlam with all the pups barking and jumping and pulling at their leashes. Gus, of course, was oblivious to the commotion he was causing and had a great time. That’s my boy! Should have named him Dennis the Menace. I have photos but need to figure out how to post them. |
