Hudson can't handle change.

He needed a little backside intervention (things were getting a little yucky back there) so my husband shaved a small area around the "business end."

The new draft has him so upset that he sits, hunched over to protect his bum and won't move at all. When he does change positions he runs there, slides in backside first, and hides the space.

It's cute enough, but it's already been more than 24 hours since the intervention, and he's showing now signs of dealing with it at all.

Goofball...

Assuming there isn't razor rash which is very painful, or a small nick..equally painful, having the breeze flow free back there usually doesn't cause some quick sits. A day seems a bit too long. Check for nicks or rash and treat appropriately.
Yeah, a nick or a burn makes them look like they're crazy! Owen always gets very sensitive whenever we trim the privates, too.
His back end has been checked, rechecked and checked again. Nothing at all looks red or irritated, but I put something on to soothe it anyway. He's still carrying on. We can usually count on two full days (or more).

He also acts this way when you remove some hair from his eyes or trim his toenails. Things that feel different really upset him. You should see how he reacts if you rearrange the furniture.
I just love Hudson, ..................such a GOOFBALL!!!
My Mom's poodle went all funny for a day after I clipped her.
She kept spinning around to get to her butt as if something had bit her there. She was especially bad outside in the wind.
It was kind of funny but I'm glad it didnt last too long. :D
Poor Hudson...........hope he gets back to normal soon.
I would like to announce that Hudson is now back to his usual, abnormal, self. It took this long for him to stop having bum issues. I caught my husband sneaking up to him this morning....I am sure he was going to blow on Smudgie's bum (Smudge is his nickname) as his lips were in just the right position and he was heading toward him. I stopped him, however, as it would have put Hudson right back into another week of craziness.
Aren't husbands wonderful   How would he like it if you snuck up on him while he was sleeping and lightly dusted his butt with a feather duster 8O 8O
Now that gives me an idea..................

last night everyone was ready for bed and I saw Tipup (the cat) sleeping behind Simon (the basset).
It was so cute, I just hoped Simon didn't have gas...
My dalmo sometimes gets bad gas! 8O

The cat only ever sleeps on his head.
Chauncey is funny when we walk him after a butt trim esp. when there is a wind coming in from his south end. He tries to tuck his little nub up to his chin :) 8)
