He got crated, and stayed about half an hour without incident. My inlaws were getting ready to leave, so we were standing on the other side of the door of the room he was in. I guess it got to be too much for him, and he must have batted at the door. Surprise. Freedom. I didn't hear his escape, but he jumped on the closed door that I was leaning against with enough force to make me jump. I yelled, "Hudson!" and grabbed for the doorknob. By the time I had opened the door (maybe twelve seconds) the little sucker was back in his crate, door wide open, laying down as if he'd never left. He looked up at me with his pretend "I was sleeping the whole time face," stood up, stretched (AS IF!!!!) and moseyed out calmly. That dog. |

Me bad? Nope, not me. |
The smartest clown around. Too funny!!!
I love that he stretched to make the "I was asleep" act more believable. |
Thanks Tracie for another Hudson story. I was just thinking I needed something to smile about.
Hudson sure can bring about a smile with all of your stories. Thanks for sharing your frustrations with such a great sense of humour. I really love the story about the red underwear and the lining up of the food. I hope you are writing these stories down for yourself as well. People scrapbook stories like these for their children I think the Hudson stories would make a lovely scrapbook for you one day when Hudson is all grown-up and well mannered. |
Hahahahaha! I especially love the stretch part! |
A good Hudson story always makes me smile!! |

Oh, Hudson you make me laugh out loud.

No one saw me... you cannot prove it... it wasn't me! |
