We had a leaky roof for about 2 years, and our association finally fixed it. So this week, we had all sorts of workers in the house tearing out ceilings, patching walls and painting. We all know what a pain that is. The house has been totally torn up. Everything is out of place, and being moved room to room as the workers change location. However, my poor pups were sent into solitaire in the basement and hated it. They were all so stressed that each one had bouts of diarehia! On top of that, I have been battling the flu all week. I'm sure the stress of the week lowered my resisitance. I'm still not well, but I'm at work daydreaming of being home in bed, surrounded by fluffy animals. It's been a hard week at our house. I'm glad this week is finally over. |

Yuk!! Sounds like a week from hell.
I hope you're feeling better and that you get to have a nice relaxing weekend in bed with your favourite hot beverage. |
Oh awful! But you'll have a dry roof overhead, hopefully no mold!. (was there mold and that's why you aren't feeling well??) Puppers will heal up and then all of you can spend the weekend in bed! Yes, there will be dust everywhere, but it isn't going anywhere and will wait until you are truly ready to conquer. |
They did a mold inspections, and thankfully...no mold. We all just need time to drink chicken soup and heal (or heel...depending on which family member you are talking too!) |
Deborah, the construction that is making you understandably nuts will be worth it in the end. Think how lovely your home will be and you won't have to worry about any more water damage.
Flu requires chicken soup, crackers, and butter. I hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, lie on the sofa and moan. We understand. |
Messy, but neccessary work.
This crud is going around, it's just hitting my family too, that it by some miracle skips me!! |
Hey, it's still summer!!! Lol Anyways I think it's to early to be sick. Sorry about that. Being sick and having out of the ordinary things going on is never fun. But it will be nice for you to have it fixed. |

Oh Deb, what a mess you have to deal with and being sick on top of it. I hope this get put back together soon and your chicken soup does it's job.
My daughter just spent 8 days on the Contagious Disease Floor in the hospital. I'm trying not to think of all the terribe diseases I may have come in contact with. Wash hands, wash hands, wash hands. |
Sheeeeesh. Thank goodness there was no mold. |
