I am so sick of people letting their dogs just roam the streets! I've actually lost count of the number of dogs I've taken to the vet in the past 2 months to have their microchip checked (because they're tagless, of course ) and returned to their owners only to see them walking past my house again the next day. Is there a shortage of fences these days? Last week I picked up a little Maltese mix who was so dirty, matted and absolutely starving, not to mention stinky, and I was so sure that he was an actual stray this time. He walks past my house everyday now. At least he got a grooming out of the vet visit. I just don't see why I should be constantly disrupting my day and dodging cars to look after other people's dogs. And then there are all those people who let their dogs roam around unfenced front yards with them. That's fine so long as you can control the darn thing. It's always small dog owners who do it because their dog is obviously far too little to harm my big dog A little Jack Russel came running out when Bally and I were on our walk this morning and went into such a frenzy attacking Bally's neck that he spun around to escape and smacked his head into a telegraph pole (granted, that's not unusual for Bally, but that's not the point! ). The owner just muttered some grumpy apology and walked off. OK I think I'm done now |

I understand how you feel completely. I've felt the same way you have many times. It is very upsetting to me when people don't feel like rules apply to them. It's just not that hard. I don't get why it's so difficult for some people. |
Lee rants about the dog owners around where we live. No one seems to have a fence and we always have people coming by looking for their lost dogs. It makes me mad because I will be outside with my dogs and then all of a sudden this dog will coming running up on our property and I don't know how they are going to act. |
Wow. I never see dogs in the streets here, you have my sympathy. |
I almost hit a dog yesterday on my street. When I stopped and asked whose dog it was the man just shrugged and pointed to a house across the street. He told me the dog gets out and they just leave him, figuring he'll come back for dinnner . Well, not if he's DEAD |
