Puppy nascar and splatter dog!

Does anyone elses OES tear through your house like crazy? Bouncing off the couch and tumbling onto a bed or chair? Winston goes through every single room downstairs, one by one, and circles the whole room at top speed, hitting any furniture along the way like a skateboarder 8O he really loves sliding on the kitchen floor, and his absolute favorite thing to do is when you try to catch or stop him he goes down into what my friends and I call "splatter dog", which is when he slams his front paws on the ground, and his butt is high in the air. Almost like a cat ready to pounce. He then takes off again at top speed with pillows and decor flying through the air! I laugh until I cry most times, though I know I should stop him. And to think I was told OESs were a "calm" breed!

Yep Tiggy does it too, whenever she's excited. Which is often.
She bounces off the couches and walls. She hit a floor mat the other day and skidded head first into the baby gate and smashed it right out of the door way.
She doesnt do splatter dog though, just dodges.
It's the Sheepie 500 and goes on at my house every evening.
We call it the "puppy crazies". :D But I have to admit  , some of our "puppies" are all getting pretty old... 9-1/2 years & 11-1/2 years!
We call it the 'Zoomies'. Lola goes nuts sometimes.
Actually - no. they do however let me know they want to go outside and they do that in the yard! Or if its raining or otherwise yucky they ask to go down the basement and chase each other around down there. I have no idea how it happened but they seem to have been trained to not do it in the house, I noticed when they were around 10 months old that they had simultaneously decided it wasn't the place to zoom!
Even bassets do it - it's the "basset 500" in our case!
Yes!

Ron has a name for it.......something FRAP.

Only MO does this, banks off living room couch clear to other end of house, banks of bed, reverses thru another bedroom, around the dining room table and back to living room couch. Best to stand back until the battery wears down because the dog's mind in not engaged during this exercise.
We call it the Sheepie Spins in our house... I just stand back and watch it happen.. most enjoyable!!!

Lola and Lily as well. They tend to do it outside in the late afternoon/early evening. It is hysterical to watch. It is usually our entertainment as we eat dinner. They zoom back and forth in front of the sliding glass doors. The speed they can get to is AMAZING!
PS: FRAP = Frenetic-Random-Activity-Period
We called it Puppy Olympics.
oh yes! i thought it was just our house. both sheepies do it. the shih tzus did when they were pups.
