Langley's mohawk how it is done

There has been some inquires so I asked my groomer here is her instructions:

I guess you could tell the inquiring minds that I didn't use clippers to create Langley's mohawk - I might next time but to get the right shape and lines the first time, just scissor it in. I simply held up the hair down the center of his head, created the shape I wanted and scissored it in - holding my scissors parallel to the sides of his head, scissoring straight up and down.

And the way to create the eyes: push most of the hair back above the eyes and scissor right up to where his eyelashes are - the more hair you scissor right around the eyes, the more they pop when you let go of the hair you were holding. (Make any sense???...)

I see that in your pics with Langley sporting his mohawk, that he's a puppy still. Do you think it would work with coarse adult fur? I guess I can try it, and if it doesn't work, take her for a face trim ;)
some hair wax helps too 8) for those special times for photos.
