Hey! I am waiting for pictures to approve - but until then, I am excited to report that Paislee and I were awarded Winners Reserve today at the show in Rochester, MN.
This is Paislee's first show and my first as a handler. I am very proud of her.... We have another show tommorow- - hopefully we will do ok.... |
Paislee and Stephanie did very fine today
Paislee was just adorable out there (OK, Stephanie too - LOL) Taking reserve from the 6-9 mos puppy class (against 3 other bitches) was a nice way to start their show career! |
Well done Paislee and Stephanie now photos needed too.
Wonderfull start for your sweetie well done to you both |

I couldn't have done any of this today without your help Dawn! Thank you for getting up early and coming to help me. You will never know how much I appreciated it!!!! Please let LeAnne, Lisa, Brianne and Chewie I appreciated their help as well. |
Wow Congratulations!!!!!
That's great news. Well done everyone!!! |
Congratulations!!!:excited:
That is so exciting. Linda and Wayne are going to be so proud of you. I took a sneak peek at the pictures and you both look great. You look very confident in the ring although I am sure you were nervous. Paislee didn't look the least bit nervous. She is stacked so nicely in the one picture. Now I am embarrassed to say I do not completely understand how conformation works. I definitely do not get the whole reserve thing. I do know that you need to get a certain number of points and two of your wins need to be majors meaning you beat so many other sheepdogs. So did she get any points? BTW was the judge sweating? |
OH!!! Steph...you must be so proud!!! She looked so beautiful!!!
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ((you looked very confident~~~~ like you have been showing all your life!!!!))) |

Sadly, no points for reserve. And yes, the judge was sweating. It was kind of a warm, sticky day. He was also the herding group judge - and he had his suit jacket on for judging that! |
^^^ You are all very nice - but I watched a video of my handling skills last night and was horrified - a lot to work on. Anyway - here are a couple of the pictures....
Little Paislee before we went in Dawn ( got sheep) giving me a couple of pointers Stacking in the ring Down and back... Around the ring..... Tired little Paislee.... |
Hot diggety! You both look great!
Reserve is like saying "I considered you for the points, but today I pick this bitch". In the company she's in, and given Paislee's age and the fact that it was her first time in the ring, and Stephanie's too, that's REALLY encouraging. Pretty much affirms that they belong. In case there was any doubt There wasn't. Stephanie brought Paislee to the Wisconsin specialty to be trimmed and gone over by a lot of long time breeders who explained her structure as they went over her and though it is very, very competitive in this area (though typically in a very civilized and supportive manner), so no walk in the park to finish any bitch, the consensus was "go for it!" Very proud of you guys!!! Kristine |
WOOHOO to the girls |
Any word on Sunday's show? |
That is super...she looks GREAT!!!!!!
You did awesome! |
Good for you! Congratulations! |
Oooooh she is just adorable well done again |
That's awesome! Congrats to both of you! You're off to an excellent start. For Owen's first show, he sat down.
That first time is the worst and I know what you mean about watching videos of yourself. Remember to go back and watch that same video after you finish her. It's amazing to see how much both of you learn and grow-- at least we did! |
WOOP WOOOO!!!!! |
