preshow disaster

I am going to take my dog( first time in his life) to the show. It is due next weekend. I washed him beforehand and in a day discovered broken and irritated skeen mostly behind his ears and generally where the white coat is. Might be some allergy for the shampoo or vitamins I recently started.
I spread some ointment (for nappy rash) - ruined all bathing efforts  . We are quite far from a vet, besides it is Saturday today. So it is going to stay like it is before Monday at least. I wish somebody tell me which medication can be used and in which dosage.
I will be VERY greatful.

What do the inside of the ears look like? Could the irritated skin that you found be caused my him scratching because something inside his ear is bothering him? Or is it all the whites on his body? If that's the case, I'd try giving him an oatmeal bath to calm the skin and, if you've ever done so in the past and are comfortable with it, an anti-histamine, like Benadryl or Claratin. One pill is enough for my 80-100 pound dogs but I say that with the disclaimer of that I wouldn't give anything it your dog without at least calling the vet first.

If you have to show and you can't put the ointment on, what about a little medicated powder? That should cool and calm the skin and will be a lot easier to camouflage than anything oily.
Thank you very much for your reply.
No, he doesn't scratch ears and it is down his shoulder as well. He doesn't scratch at all, actually, so it is not itchy. It looks like his skeen reacts to the bathig. I put some ointment any way, it is zink paste, very good for irritation and exema.I have some powder - talcum with something, but I don't know what would be the reaction for that something ,this zink paste is already proved itself. Iwas afraid it would turn into exema, I have had the problem with the other dog and a cat - it is awful thing and spreads like fire. No, I wouldn't try anything without the vet yet, I have asked just in case it will get worse and I won't be able to take him to the vets.
Sorry, I sent it down without logging in, it was me, Chelsea
