My neighbors are having yet another yard sale, which just happens to take over half our driveway and leads people to come to the fence to see my dogs if they are out. I'm keeping them in for now, they'll get to go out to do what they need to do and come right back in til the sale next door is over then they can go run around for a bit. The dogs are friendly, but they will bark if someone pops their head over the 6 foot wooden privacy fence (good thing too) but mostly I'm afraid someone will give them food or treats or something.... I HATE yard sales near here LOL Antisocial creature that I am.... wait, how many posts do I have on here? Well, sheepdog people are different! |

I'm sorry to hear about the stress of your neighbors garage sale. Here in Florida, garage sales are over by usually noon...it gets too hot after 12:00. |
You could invite friends to park extra cars in the driveway with yours closest to the street for coming and going Naw, just plan on indoor chores for Saturdays. Isn't there a regulation about the number of garage sales a person could have per year? Is here. |

Oh I love that idea... lol No rules on yard sales here.... They are STILL at it. They have my van blocked in at the moment too |
Ick! My sub had a huge garage sale this weekend and despite signs everywhere asking people to park only on one side if the street I couldn't get out this morning. To buy someones unwanted crap these "shoppers" parked on both sides of the street, sometimes actually blocking driveways |
Very annoying when you cant get out.
They say your trash is someone else's treasure, but I figure I've got enough junk (both trash and treasure) around my place so I stay away from yard sales. |
If you are blocked in regularly, you could call police and ask for a tow to clear driveway,
Or put some No Parking, Private Drive signs on a couple of saw horses and protect your access. |
