buying a rapid bath bathing system

I'm thinking of buying a rapid bath bathing system. Just would like a few opinions before jumping in. Anyone use this system, Pros Cons??? Thanks

We have one and love it. The hardest part was hooking it up to my shower head because my shower head is old and I couldn't figure out how to do it. A normal person won't have the difficulty! But once it is on the shower head, you can reattach the human shower head and be able to use it without switching it again next time. There's a button type thing that you pus in to use the human shower and open to use the rapid bath. It makes sense when you get it and is easier than I make it sound!

What I like is, you put the shampo cartridge right in. One switch is for the water and its a nice flow. Then you can switch the lever ( with one finger ) and the shampo comes out and you don't have to use a wash cloth or whatever to get the shampoo all over the dog. I found that much easier and less likely to cause knots as we "lather up".

The you switch the lever again for clear water rinse and it works great.

Cons are you can only use the cartridges for the rapid bath. And I still use conditioner the old fashion way after the first rinse but can then use the rapid bath clear water for the rinse of that. Hope I make sense :D

I got mine on ebay for much less than the advertized price and I am very satisfied. Came with two shampoos if I remember correctly.
Are the shampoo cartridges prefilled or refillable? If prefilled what kind of shampoo is it?

They're prefilled and they're the rapid bath brand. I looked into one when they first came out but instead, we just made our own recirculating bath. All you need is a 1/6 hp sump pump, 6 foot length of hose and make sure you plug it into a GFI outlet. You get outstanding pressure- it gets right down to the skin with no rubbing but doesn't have so much pressure that it knocks the dog over.

Holly, next time you're over, remind me to show you how I have it set up.
Yes, they are prefilled and pre measured. They come in different formulas. Oatmeal, sensitive skin, regular, etc. I guess you can make yourself a similiar system if you ahve a shower head with the different sprayers. The beauty of the rapid bath is having the shampoo right in the handle and spreading it evenly over the dog easier, then switching to rince with the same nozzle. Just a convienece but for me I love it.
