Sassy is like that. Well, she actually hates grooming to the point of biting but that's another story. Shaving her down twice a year is the kindest thing for both of us. She's happy and stays nice looking between grooms.
Most people that see Sassy and Nelson side by side don't realize they are the same breed of dog. Having two in full coat just isn't realistic for us. |

I always give extra mental points to those who realize my two are the same breed. We keep Morgan in a short coat for very practical reasons - he hates the heat and even in winter is happier in a short coat, he hates being groomed other than a five minute once over with the brush and basically he is pig pen and can get dirty in under ten seconds! |
