Our foster dog Breeze who was Katie is from a BYB In April she was on puppyfind for sale...I offered to take her when I saw her. The breeder said she was fine, no hurry to move her out just trying to downsize. Luckily, I have a contact at animal control in that area where she was taken...she was two hours away from being euthanized. They pulled her and of course took her to the vet... She had been attacked by another dog and had alot of lacerations on her face. One resulting in a permanent tear on her lip... I talked to the breeder and her husband admitted they took her to animal control as the vet was closed The breeder said they took her in since they could not use her for breeding...she has been bred many times. (although they said she was never bred) Her spay was awful as she was a mess.. I was there, it was very invasive. The breeders were Susan and Franco Romano in Statesville,NC. (so others may know before they purchase a puppy from them) She is a super sweet dog but, almost was euthanized because, they didn't care to take care of their dog |

oh i want to cry .. i just don't understand so many people treating their dogs as throw aways that must be a heart breaker for you |
My Patch was a day away from the long walk in SC after being dumped by the breeder. Her first owners had her spayed and was then, for reasons unknown, returned to the breeder who discovered she was spayed and could not be bred. I always refer to their "trash" as my good fortune! I couldn't have done any better than my good girl, Patch. So happy that Breezy found such a nice home, too. |
