OK I just found 5 baby teeth in the past few days. Some are the sharp pointed ones, and 2 are the flat ones. Is this normal? He is going to be 5 months old on the 12th. I don't remember ever finding baby teeth when my Bichon was a puppy, so I just want to make sure things are ok.... Thanks everyone!! |

heheh...yeah, totally normal!! Most dogs swallow it OR they are so small, you don't see them, and the dog ends up finding them ...and eating it. I collect mine and have some for all my animals, even cats. I like to have them to tape into their puppybook. |
Yep, perfectly normal. One of my dogs (Sky) lost all her baby teeth at once from playing tug of war and was the gummy wonder for about a month.
Another of my dogs (Piper) left all her baby teeth stuck in her mom's (Panda) coat I found them when I shaved Panda LOL |

Very funny finding them in pandas coat
I kept mine have bubbie teeth from all the dogs. |
Ha ha ha My dog usd to spit them out as if he was about to vomit. Then out they came! I got to save one or two but the others he either ate or are ..who knows!
You might also find a little blood around the mouth...check to make sure nothing is wrong but moste likely, the blood os from a tooth coming out |
When I was a kid our Briard lost one of his baby teeth in my brother's ear |

Oh wow some really funny stories!!! Thank you so much for all your answers. I'm glad it is normal. I was thinking...ok 1 or 2 is probably normal, but when I started finding them every day I started to get a bit concerned.
He is the very best dog EVER!!!!!!!! I really just love him to death. I never thought I would like a large breed dog. I figured so much maintanence...but Lucky is so sweet and easy. I can't ever imagine not having him around.... Oh and dare I say......ever so quietly..........maybe in a year or so I think....wouldn't he want another sheepie to play with?!?!?!?!?! ha ha loooove him!!!!!!!! |
I like Tammy's bumper sticker on her suv! "Old English Sheepdogs are like potato chips, you can't have just one!" (of course one is perfectly okay too) |
