October 3, Shoe Factory Road Forest Preserve in Hoffman Estates, Illinois (Cook County). We will be in grove 2. The forest preserve is on Route 59 (also known as Sutton Road), about a mile south of the I90 exit. The start time is 11-ish (as permit holder, I will be there at 9am but I don't expect anyone else) and we usually end between 4-5pm. We will have our traditional silent auction with proceeds going to Nita and Nancy's rescue. If you have a donation for the auction (doesn't have to be sheepie related), please bring it. I vow to bring 2 3 foot sub sandwiches this year (I weasled out last year)--one turkey and one veggie. There is no grill at the forest preserve. Please bring some food item to share. Stacy, you are in charge of paper plates and cutlery (I think you have enough for the next 5 sheepiefests). Obviously dogs (even non-sheepies) are the honored guests, but you don't have to bring a dog to attend. We've had excellent weather for the last 5 picnics, so fingers crossed our luck continues. Can't wait to see everyone!!!!! |

Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make it AGAIN!
We have more fosters than I had counted on! If I do it would be a spur of the moment flight I am assuming! I just can't plan that far ahead right now....maybe next year! |
