Not yet! I am kinda hoping for the little guy (second one from the left) but will love whichever one I get to pieces no matter what. When do you guys think is the best age to take them to the groomers for the first time? I want to introduce him to the process early enough that he will not be too scared, but late enough that it won't traumatize him forever, you know. I have a million other questions but I don't want to ask them all at once! |
I would start brushing him as part of the nightly routine as soon as you can. I think mine were a year or so before they went to the actual groomer, but by then they were used to the routine and the groomer was at the same place as the day care so I don't think it was overly traumatic for either of the dogs or the groomer at least she said they were good - well I think she said Marley was good and Morgan wasn't bad |
they all are cute. Yes, big boy is great, but my heart goes with #2, "hey, look at little me!" |
welcome and ahhhhhhhhhhhhh |
Welcome!

What a super cute pic! I love the one on the very end, but only because he looks like Bally did as a pup Right down to the dopey expression
|
Yet another reason I don't breed, how can you not want them all Congrats on your new kid, no matter which one it is they are all adorable! |

Really??? That is so cool! Wilby is the daddy's name, I believe. Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking. And yes, I have already named him Dignan, from one of my favorite movies, Bottle Rocket. I hope it fits him nicely. The wait to find out if I am lucky enough to be his mama is excruciating! |

Doesn't that make bestdogsx4's Gabriel an uncle then? |
Wilby is one of my babies, also known as Ch. Blueshire's Rhoad To Paradise. And yes, your puppy is also the nephew of bestdogsx4's Gabe, aka Can/Am Ch. Blueshire's Once in a Blue Moon. So your puppy has lots of relatives on this forum
I am from Welland, Ontario, Canada. |
Kelly, who is the mom? Are you in MI? |

So I will be picking up the little guy tomorrow morning at the airport. I imagine he will be scared to death after being cooped up in the plane for a couple of hours. Anyone have any tips on the first couple of hours? I'm nervous about him being so scared and not taking to me because of it! |
I have picked up two dogs off of planes and they were fine. Just be calm it will be great. They forget easily
I made a point of not gushing and babying. Nice and calm (I know it is hard) |
um.....can you get them all |
I'm so excited for you take your camera! |
Enjoy the moment! He will be fine--both of mine arrived at the airport and were immediately 'glad to see us'--didn't seem to phase them at all! Take lots of pics! |
I brought my little bundle home and am pleased as can be, even though house training has proven quite difficult. At least he is cool with his crate.
If you have time and interest, watch his coming home video here: http://vimeo.com/6625524 You may need to let it load all the way before viewing so it's not choppy! |
That was THE SWEETEST THING I've seen in a loooooooong time. |
Oh that was adorable! great video!! |
That was so sweet that you guys videotaped it. What a cutie!!! You must be on cloud 9!
All I could think of while watching that is "enjoy that soft calm hug b/c it's all an act." |
Mine never let me hold them! To late now |
That was super cute! |
Tears are running down my face as I watch your video. It IS the Sweetest Thing!! The look on your face when you first meet Dignan is precious. The way you cradle him on your shoulder and the look on his face is pure BLISS!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It brings back so many happy memories. of Sammy. Hopefully one day soon, that will be us picking up our sweet sheepie puppy. Enjoy these puppy days and take lots of photos. They grow so fast. |
