Wow, that sounds very good! I bet he's glad he finally went!
I have noticed the doctor's surgery is very quiet, they were offering same day appointments to people phoning today, whereas we usually have to wait at least a week, sometimes 10 days to see a doctor. I think people are avoiding doctors and hospitals because of swine flu, although of course that wouldn't have affected your Rob's treatment. It's really nice to hear something good about it for a change |
thats great
but it took my hubby 5!!!! years to get his MRI and he has a herniated disc in his spine. sometimes i think it depends on when you live. us health care is soooooooo different. |
That's really great and refreshing to hear! |
Sadly the only issue I hear about our health service is, it does seem to depend on where you live, like Zoe said, post code lottery !!
I think if your health issue is urgent, it gets done, if they think they can put if off and it won't cause you too much damage, get in the que - I know thats not always the case. My son recently had a motox accident, he had to get airlifted to hospital, x-rays, pain killers etc - now god knows what that would of cost. i know we pay through our salaries each month, but the good old NHS is always there |

I must be missing something... it doesn't seem to be sarcastic...? |
I thought Lil Walty's comment was in relation to lindy's post. Now I'm confused but hey I'm used to that state of mind. |
Oh, of course. I don't know where my mind was. |
So far Rob has had his scan on Monday at 8am and is now waiting 2 weeks for the results, from what I have learned there does seem to be a widely different timescale depending on where you live in the UK, I'm really not too sure why. |

I suppose maybe you have some of the 45,000 NHS staff a day off sick, in your area It depends how many private consultants work in your Hospital I think, I think they prioritise their private patients notes first. |
