We started the day off with a bang here. Our house is 3 stories, with the sliding door in the basement opening to the backyard, privacy fence all around. Well the dogs always go out the back door, and stay out for a bit to do their business. Because Finn is the VDFH (velcro dog from hell) he yips to come in in usually 5 minutes tops. This morning I hear barking, mind you it is probably 7:45am, so I run downstairs to get them so the neighbors aren't disturbed. I get to the door to figure out the barking is too far away. Because I am only wearing a long tshirt, I run back in the basement, grab the 1st thing in the dryer ( a skirt) and head out the door running and screaming to the dogs. Cheyenne is still in the yard, and I round the corner of the house to see a strange man trying to coax Finn out of the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! He is barking at him and circling, but won't go the man. He finally skids past the man to me, back in the yard. PHEW! It turns out the man is my across the road neighbor I have never met before. He said Cheyenne listened right away and went in the yard, and then he said "But that white one..." So thanks to a latch on the gate I probably didn't close properly when I mowed, the dogs almost got smushed, and I met a neighbor. Bad news being the dogs almost got smushed and I can't tell you what neighbor it was because I had no glasses on (couldn't really see him), but I am sure he'll remember me with a skirt, t-shirt, and no bra on running towards him after my bad mannered dog Heaven help us! |

Glad our Finnster in crime is okay.....how scary!
Funny my Finn is the same velcro dog but, he knows how to open the door himself to go in and out! (I don't mind if he would just close it!) Of course he does let Pancake out and I try to never let her out unless I am right there as she has a very large Briard mouth! |
