First aid kit for DOGS!

We could probably develop a list for absolute musts for doggie first aid kits. One I'm so grateful I remember to keep stalked is vet wrap. That colorful, eleastic wrap that is put over gauze or whatever.

This past weekend Glacier's grapefuit size cyst on her tail base broke open. Fortunately there was some advanced warning as she was dripping gamma glob off her tail.......that she insisted she had to lick up off the floor......thank you Merry Maid. I guess the dirty floor got to her and she took herself outside. Two hours later she returned without the cyst, a hole, some blood and lots of deflated skin. Yes, it was Sunday. Not worthy of an emergency clinic visit, I washed it, sprayed some Bactine on it (it was within reach). I was willing to leave it open to dry but the hole was on the down side of the tail she she lays down and it hurt her.....lots of panting. So I sprayed some vet antiseptic on gauze for covering the hole and wrapped with nice bright vet wrap. She settled immediately and fell asleep.

In addition to gauze, antiseptic spray and gel, what else do you pack in your doggie first aid kit? Peroxide for initiating vomiting? Benadryl for bee stings?

I have a muzzle, empty syringes(I think that's what they're called), scissors, small flashlight and magnifing glass, betagen and an eye rinse solution. And towels, paper and cloth.
There amazing those cysts when they decide to burst. :?

Add to the list Long Tweezers good for grass seeds and little burs or ticks etc.

A thermometor (sp) for taking temperatures

You can also get a little instruction leaflett on Dog first aid that covers the basics even how to with the thermometer 8O  Dressing wounds etc etc just basic stuff like how to check a dogs pulse etc handy to have in a doggie first aid kit as well.

I have empty syringes too, to squirt stuff into there mouths if something is needed to be given orally.

Eye rinse solution is very handy too. That or Saline solution which I use as can flush a wound area or the eyes.
I almost forgot the almost most important thing, the emergency candy bar 8O . For me, of course, when the emergency is over :)
