I think the full size pic in my album looks better than when the pic is resized to post here. * 3 oz cream cheese * 1T melted butter * 2C cubed seasoned chicken (I use tyson already prepared chicken so i just cut) * 1T green onion * minced red peppers (optional) * 1/4t salt (I omit) * 1/8t pepper * 2T milk * small handful of almond accents (sliced flavored almonds next to salad section, optional but I think is a must) * 2 refrigerated crescent rolls (not generic or they'll turn out terrible) Optional Topping * 1T butter, melted * 3/4C croutons Oven 350 Melt T of butter in bowl. Then mix in cream cheese, chicken, green onion, eyeball a few tablespoons of minced red peppers, salt, pepper, milk, and almond accents. Notes: You really should season the chicken while cooking or it will be bland ...like w/mrs. dash and salt and even the onion on a frying pan. Nothing additional is needed if using the pre-packaged tyson seasoned chicken, and why I always skip the added salt. Also, the almond accents just give it a nice crunch which is why "I" always include some (again, eyeball amount) Separate the crescents into four rectangles (each packages should make 4). Spoon 1/4'ish C of chicken mixture in center and spread (I use largest cookie scoop for everything is even and perfect). Then I fold up to the center and pinch together and grab the other two ends up which were shorter and pinch in. Then turn over so folded ends are on bottom. Picture to show what I mean. Put on lightly sprayed pam cookie sheet. Optional Topping (i don't bother anymore just b/c it's an additional step): Brush tops with the last T of melted butter. Sprinkle with crushed croutons (breadcrumbs taste like crap for this, so croutons or nothing). Bake for 25 min or until golden brown on top. Watch it b/c we all know burnt crescents are gross. |
